5 Axis Impact Resistant Head

Thermwood Corporation introduced an Impact Resistant Head for their 5-axis CNC routers. This new head design reduces or eliminates machine downtime and the need to realign the head after accidental crashes, which are common during programming and production set-up. It is designed both electrically and mechanically to absorb the impact of a crash and protect the machine from damage. When the new resistant head is crashed, the machine is simply reset and normally head alignment is restored. The Impact Resistant Head can also be retrofitted to existing Thermwood 5-axis CNC routers.
