Kynar® Film Tape
CS Hyde Company announced the
availability of KYNStick® Kynar®
Film Tape with Pressure Sensitive
Adhesive.
This is the first time Kynar
Film has been made available with a
pressure-sensitive adhesive system.
KYNStick Tape has a thin gauge
Kynar (PVDF) film substrate (.005”
or .010” thick) with an Acrylic or 3M
VHB (Very High Bond) Adhesive.
Kynar PVDF film can be very hard to
bond to other substrates. The pressure-
sensitive adhesive system allows for ease of application,
bonding, positioning and fastening. KYNStick is
semi-transparent and almost colorless. It offers clarity,
light transmittance and visual inspection of materials
underneath the tape. It ships with a peel-off liner.
KYNStick Tape is a superior barrier material. It offers
excellent chemical and corrosion resistance and high tensile
and dielectric strength. It has low permeability to
water vapor and many gases. Kynar (PVDF) film has
extremely high purity, making it a good candidate for food
applications. When specified, Kynar
film complies with FDA regulation 21
CFR 177.510, USDA, USP XX Class
VI, 3A sanitary standards and meets
ASTM D3222 resin specifications.
KYNStick Tape has high impact
resistance. It is tough, durable and
has good thermal stability. It withstands
temperatures up to 300°F.
Compared to many thermoplastics
Kynar (PVDF) has excellent resistance
to creep and fatigue, yet
KYNStick components are tough, flexible and transparent.
Kynar® Film is stable to UV and weather effects. In cold,
heat, sunlight and humidity Kynar Film does not wear out
or get brittle. Kynar has low NBS smoke generation and
superior LOI.
