Plastics Hall Of Fame Opens Nominations
The Plastics Academy is now accepting nominations for
induction into the Plastics Hall of Fame for living individuals
who have made outstanding contributions to the plastics
industry. The induction ceremony will
occur on Monday, June 19, 2006, during
the NPE 2006, North America’s
largest plastics trade show. Nominations
will close December 31, 2005.
All nominations will be screened by
a committee of Plastics Academy officers
and board members who will recommend
up to 12 individuals for final
consideration by living members of
the Plastics Hall of Fame. These members
will select up to nine individuals
for induction.
The Plastics Hall of Fame was established
in 1972 to honor those who
have shown “consistent dedication and
extraordinary accomplishments . . . that
have contributed to the stature and
growth of the plastics industry.” It is the
highest honor awarded in the plastics
industry. The Plastics Hall of Fame
members are commemorated in an
exhibit at the National Plastics Center
& Museum, located in Leominster, MA.
