5-Axis Impact Resistant Head

Thermwood Corporation offers an Impact Resistant Head for their 5-axis CNC routers. This head design reduces or eliminates machine downtime and the need to realign the head after accidental crashes, which are common during programming and production setup. It is designed both electrically and mechanically to absorb the impact of a crash and protect the machine from damage. When the resistant head is crashed, the machine is simply reset and normal head alignment is restored. The Impact Resistant Head can also be retrofitted to existing Thermwood 5-axis CNC routers.
