Sheffield Plastics Inc., a Bayer MaterialScience Company, announced the promotion of Karl Wiecking to the position of Architectural Market Segment Manager, Americas. Weicking will direct new technology that Sheffield and Bayer have developed to expand the influence of polycarbonate in the architectural glazing market.

Business Answers International (BAI), a consulting company which works solely within the plastics industry, announced that Richard (Dick) Garthwaite is joining their company as an Executive Vice President. Texolon has announced a new partnership with Manufacturer’s Representative, Nik Taritas. Since 1985, Texolon has been a leading manufacturer of PTFE shapes, skived sheet and sealing solutions. Taritas, who has been involved in representing leading plastic companies for eight years, will work with customers throughout the Midwest. Taritas has also been representing Texolon’s sister company, Amicon Plastics, for over four years. Amicon Plastics provides custom machining and fabrication of engineered plastic parts.
