CO-EX Corporation announced it has appointed Michael V. Johnson to the position of General Manager. In his new position, Johnson will continue to work closely with customers and manufacturing.

Walter Siniscalchi has joined E & T Plastics in the newly created position of Business Development Manager. In this new role, Siniscalchi will be responsible for new products, markets and applications.

Kleerdex Company, LLC, named William K. Crane Jr. as its newest manufacturer’s representative for plastics distribution. Crane, whose territory covers the southeast United States, will report to Thom Price, Eastern Regional Sales Manager.

Bayer MaterialScience LLC (BMS) announced the promotion of three executives: Don Hummel, John Houston and Dr. Haakan Jonsson – to new positions within the company. Hummel has been appointed head of BMS Coatings, Adhesives and Sealants (CAS) Global Product Management. Houston has been appointed as Hummel’s successor to lead BMS CAS Marketing/Business Development in the NAFTA region. Houston is succeeded by Jonsson, who will lead the BMS NAFTA Regional Service Center.
Bayer also announced Dr. Rainer Mellis has been named Vice President of PCS Manufacturing at Bayer MaterialScience’s Baytown site. Mellis will succeed Dr. Lora Rand, who was recently appointed Facility Director of BMS’ polycarbonate operations at the company’s Newark, Ohio site.

Vecoplan, LLC has promoted Mike Wilhoit to the newly created position of Vice President of Operations. Vecoplan also named Todd Carswell Vice President of Technical Services. Carswell’s responsibilities will expand: in addition to leading in the design of new technologies, he will now be in charge of Vecoplan’s Service Department.
