No-Melt Blade
Forrest Manufacturing’s specially designed No-Melt
saw blade is one of a number of Forrest blades that
cleanly and easily cut melt-prone man-made materials.
The No-Melt blade has a
unique tooth style and side
clearances to produce cool,
melt-free cuts on plastic sheets
– even when the sheets are
stacked. It also delivers clean
cuts on extruded profiles.
No-Melt saw blades have a
5-degree face rake and are
available in a variety of sizes – from 7 1/4” to 16” in diameter
– including metric. The blades have 60, 80, 100 or
120 teeth and a 5/8 or 1-inch center hole, depending on
their diameter.
Like all Forrest blades, the No-Melt is precision engineered
from the highest quality blend of corrosion-resistant
C-4 micrograin carbide, coupled with proprietary
grinding techniques. The result is a blade that is 40 percent
stronger than conventional carbide-tip blades and
that lasts 50 to 300 percent longer between sharpenings.
Other Forrest blades suitable for cutting plastics
include the: Duraline for acrylics, Thin Rim for delicate
acrylic sheets and plastic extrusions and Concave Face for
polystyrene molding.
