ZL engineering plastics inc.
announced Eric Giesen has joined its
team as Territory Sales Manager.
Based in Kansas City, KS, Giesen will
service distribution customers in the
Midwest region.
Curbell Plastics, Inc. announced
Will Carberry has accepted the role
of Regional Warehouse Manager for
its South/Central Region. Carberry
will oversee operations in Curbell’s Detroit, Virginia,
Florida and Atlanta warehouse locations.
Interplastic Corporation’s Thermoset Resins Division
(TRD) announced Michael Eckardt has joined the division
as a Senior Sales Representative. Eckardt will manage
sales activity for North and Central Georgia, Alabama,
Mississippi and Eastern Tennessee. Mike Roberts has
also joined the division as a Sales Representative. Roberts
will manage sales activity for North and South Dakota,
Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma and the Texas panhandle.
Westlake Plastics added Keith Bateman as Midwest
sales manager. He returns to Westlake after working most
recently in distribution as a national mechanical, corrosive
high performance product manager.
Obituary
Edward F. Westlake Sr., Chairman of the Board of
Westlake Plastics Company passed away after an extended
illness July 27, 2008.
He operated several plastics manufacturing facilities in
Pennsylvania. He was Chairman of the Board of Westlake
Plastics Company, President of Crystal-X Corporation and
President of Westlake United Corporation. For over 53 years
he enjoyed being in the manufacturing business and held
several patents for manufacturing processes. He was active
in SPI, SPE and Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center.
Mr. Westlake was also very active through the Marple
Newtown PTO and band program. He was an active board
member of the Pennsylvania Christmas Tree Growers
Association and was active in the Boy Scouts in Delaware
and Chester counties.
Mr. Westlake was active in scouting 67 years, both as
Cubmaster of Pack 238 and Scoutmaster for Troop 238.
He attained the highest-ranking level of volunteer scouting,
the Silver Beaver. He had a profound influence on the
lives of many boys and men in the community.
