Ergonomic Hot Air Welder
The New Oval-Q welder is characterized by its slight lean oval shape that allows you to work ergonomically. This powerful welder has an efficient twin turbine system providing an airflow of 280 liters/minute. With this above average airflow, a robust 1650W heat element yields maximum heat temperatures, which are adjustable using the heat control knob. The Oval-Q is lightweight (3 lbs) giving you ergonomic and fatigue-free operation and has an optimally balanced motor for minimal handle vibration. It is also available in 230V, 1500W power.
Suitable for welding all thermoplastics the Oval-Q welds roofing materials, textiles, tarpaulin and banner materials, pond liners, and vinyl sheets. With a simple tip change, you can also use it with welding rod for plastic repairs of bins, bumpers, totes and many other plastic parts. You can quickly and easily clean the air filters by a simple separation from the handgrip to ensure maximum airflow and proper tool function.
Abbeon has been providing top quality industrial equipment to businesses for over 70 years. They offer a complete range of plastic welding equipment including automatic overlap welders, wedge welders, extrusion welders, plate welders, ultrasonic welders, fusion welders and hand welder kits.

High Speed Torch
The Laramy Torch is an
electrically heated, variable
gas flow torch of proven
design, featuring 6 interchangeable
elements for welding temperatures
1300°F. This high-production
torch offers complete
versatility of temperature
and air or inert gas selection
for production and speed welding on all types of thermoplastics.
“Located Heat” elements are ceramic, clad with stainless
steel for greater shock and break resistance – plus
added protection against overheating and burnout.
“Located Heat” design concentrates heat output at the tip
end of the torch for cooler, more comfortable barrel temperature
while delivering higher gas temperature at the
tip from lower wattage elements: 250, 350, 450 and
550-watt. The elements are readily interchangeable in a
single small-diameter barrel for fast changeover and simplified
Two new high-temperature elements, 650 and 750-
watts, make a heat range of 850-1300°F available for
speed welding of polypropylene and other high temperature
materials. These elements require use of a long barrel,
which is interchangeable with the shorter length barrel
used with the lower wattage elements.
Laramy also offers the
LFW-1 and LFW-2 fusion
pipe welders for both
shop and field welding of
PE, PP and PVDF pipe.
The LFW-1 has a 3 1/2”
diameter and a rating of
and can handle 1/2” to
2” pipe (16 mm to 63 mm). The LFW-2 has a 6” diameter,
a rating of 700-watts/120-volts to accommodate 3” to 4”
pipe (75 mm to 110 mm).
The units come with a control box, which regulates the temperature of the welders. A mounting bolt, nut and
washer are provided to mount die sets on the heater.
Laramy has been manufacturing and supplying thermoplastic
welding and forming equipment for nearly 50
years. Their complete line of welders insures a model to fit
your needs and your budget. A wide variety of welding
tips and a wide range of heat elements are available. They
also offer bending bars with an optional sword attachment
providing an inexpensive tool for heating thermoplastic
sheets to form bends.

Small Welder for Tight Areas
The Leister WELDPLAST S1 is the smallest tool in the WELDPLAST family measuring only 435 mm (17 inches) in length. The WELDPLAST S1 is capable of welding PE, PP, and PVC and accepts both 3 and 4 mm welding rod. Included in delivery are 2 pre-heating nozzles (top and side), an overlap welding shoe, and a tool case.
Ideal for welding in tight areas or for small hands, it features the same digital controls as the rest of the WELDPLAST family, the multi-functional display includes maintenance notifications, time meters, and pre-set temperature/air flow programs for ease of use. It produces an output of up to 0.8 kg/hour (up to 1.15 kg/h with PVC), depending on material/conditions.

McElroy introduces new sizes to the Acrobat™ machine line which feature the revolutionary QuikFit™ carriage that allows operators to meet the challenges of fusing large-diameter polypropylene pipe in close-quarter working environments.
Acrobat with QuikFit carriages provide a solution through a modular single-size jaw design that is going to make a huge difference in how large-diameter polypropylene pipe is installed,” said Paul Donaldson, Manager of Mechanical Engineering at McElroy. “The beauty of this design is that it simplifies the fusion process to help serve the needs of the plumbing, mechanical and HVAC industry.”
The machines, which fuse 355mm to 630mm (14” to 24”) polypropylene pipe, was in response to a demand in the industry for lightweight, large-diameter butt fusion equipment that would make overhead pipe installations more safe and efficient. Fusing large pipe on plumbing and mechanical installations is intricate work whether it’s new construction or a building retrofit. Operators work around ducting, framing, stud walls and other obstacles, leaving little space to fuse pipe, especially when fusing pipe many feet in the air. If the fusion machine is heavy and bulky, it makes the job difficult or even impossible.
The ability to assemble the upper and lower jaws of the carriage around the pipe by hand eliminates the need for extra equipment and manpower that would be required to lift and fit an entire carriage into a cramped space. The carriage is half the weight of alternative machines and can be arranged in 4-, 3- and 2-jaw configurations for an even smaller footprint.
All of the fusion equipment, including the carriage, drill-powered facer, heater and hydraulic power unit (HPU), can be loaded on a single scissor lift platform. The flexibility of the machine allows it to fuse pipe in any orientation that is required on plumbing, mechanical and HVAC installations, including vertical and overhead.
The Acrobat is offered in single pipe sizes to eliminate the need for inserts, which also keeps the machine lightweight. Each size package includes the jaws, heater and lightweight facer blade holders.
