NEW FABRICATOR OPPORTUNITIES SPRAY-ON POLYURETHANE TRUCK BED LINERS
A new spray-in-place, non-foam polyurethane elastomer system introduced by Custom Linings, LLC., is now an option for lining pick-up truck beds. The lining system resists weathering, reduces road noise and helps prevent rust and corrosion by eliminating the voids associated with loose-fitting plastic liners. The polyurethane elastomer manufactured by BASF offers superior chemical, UV and abrasion resistance, in addition to remaining flexible, as compared with rigid thermoplastics.
The rapid curing characteristics of polyurethane linings also means less down-time for the end user. "The formulation is dry to the touch at ambient temperatures in a manner of minutes," says Mark Swarny of Custom Linings.
According to Swarny, the company plans to seek dealer/applicators to utilize its technology in order to expand its operations nationally.
