BULLET-RESISTING ACRYLIC SHEET
Elf Atochem North America, Inc. has unveiled Plexiglas(r) SB acrylic sheet for applications requiring bullet resisting glazing. The new 1 1/4" thick sheet meets UL 752 - Level I requirements for security glazing. Typical security applications include customer service areas of banks and utilities, as well as retail stores. The cell-cast acrylic sheet represents a patented, lightweight, crystal clear, non-laminated alternative to bullet-resisting glass or polycarbonate sheet of the same UL Class rating. It comes as 8' long sheets in widths of 4, 5, and 6'. Fabricators can cut, drill, rout, and cement it using conventional techniques.
