LUBRICATED COMPOSITES
LNP Engineering Plastics announces the introduction of three new grades of Lubriloy(r) high performance lubricated PPA composites offering high temperature and chemical resistance, low water absorption, plus outstanding strength and wear resistance.
The composites feature a proprietary, patented lubricant alloy instead of a traditional lubricant like PTFE.
Lubriloy(r) UF is reinforced with glass fibers and has a heat distortion temperature of 520ÞF and a wear factor vs. steel of 95 and a dynamic coefficient of friction of 0.16.
Lubriloy UA is reinforced with aramid fibers which gives it extremely low wear and abrasion resistance. It has a heat distortion temperature of 245ÞF, a wear factor vs. steel of 5 and a dynamic coefficient of friction of 0.11.
Lubriloy U is an unreinforced grade designed for parts that wear against plastic. It has an HDT of 245ÞF, a wear factor vs. steel of 7 and a dynamic coefficient of friction of 0.10.
