ACRYLIC ELASTOMERS
Alcan Rubber & Chemical, Inc. introduced Noxtite(r), a line of acrylic elastomers suitable for applications in thermal insulating, conveyor belts, tank linings, rolls, adhesives, construction sealants and coating materials. It offers a very wide range of service temperatures, from -35° C to 180° C. The elastomer offers chemical resistance to hot petroleum-based oils and fats, fuel oils, engine oils, gear oils, and torque converter oils. It also provides good ozone resistance and weatherability, low gas permeability, good water resistance, limited corrosiveness to metals, and good processability.
