3" AND 4" MECHANICAL JOINT FITTINGS
George Fischer, Inc. has added 3" and 4" joint fittings to its existing product line of 1-1/2" and 2" Fuseal(tm) mechanical joint fittings. The fittings offer easy installation and ensure a leakproof joint. A mechanical joint adapter is also available. The fitting adapter and nut are made of flame-retardant polypropylene, the seal ring is made of a polypro-based material and the grab ring is made of Ryton. During installation, as the nut is tightened, the grab ring grips and cuts a retaining groove in the pipe. This method of joining reduces installation time, and requires no hot water, electricity, pipe grooving or other preparation. All Fuseal pipe and fittings conform to the ASTM F-1412 standard specifications for polyolefin pipe and fittings for corrosive waste drainage systems.
