FLIP-POD VIDEO
Carter Products offers a videotape that provides a close-up look at their Flip-Pod(tm) vacuum, piece part workholding system. This is the most graphic way, short of actual use, to demonstrate the stability, flexibility, ease, and economy of operation, users encounter with the system. It is designed to allow rapid setups and quick changeover from one job to the next. The elements are seated along the machine bed. In the "up" position, the Flip-Pods channel vacuum power from the machine bed to hold the workpiece in place. In the "down" or stored position, a rubber ball check in the pod seals off the vacuum flow. Because reconfiguration is fast and simple, short-run or sample parts can be accommodated with ease.
