HEAVY GAUGE PET SHEET

Plaskolite, Inc. has become the first U.S. sheet maker to manufacture clear transparent, heavy gauge PET sheet. The company will market the product under the brand name NuPlas.

Plaskolite will bring NuPlas to market as a cost-savings option to PETG, multipolymer and polycarbonate sheets. Prior to now, heavy gauge PET, which is made from thermoplastic polyester using advanced polyester resin technology, was manufactured exclusively by foreign plastics companies.

FDA approved for food contact, its end uses include bulk food-compatible bins and displays. It also offers an alternative that is strong and versatile enough for use in automotive, aviation, rail and architectural projects.

The sheet is available in a standard sheet size of 49" x 80.5", and standard thickness ranges of 0.040" to 0.177", with additional thickness options available soon.
