CAST ACRYLIC ROD AND TUBING
The CSHyde Company offers a variety of cast acrylic rod and tubing to meet your fabrication needs. Highly regarded for its optical clarity and outstanding light transmission properties, it is unaffected by sunlight or fluorescent lights. It resists aging and maintains its stability under a wide range of conditions. Cast acrylic has greater impact resistance and weighs half as much as glass. It is used in many applications in place of extruded or molded acrylic because of better machining properties, better resistance to heat distortion, and higher tensile strength. It is odorless, tasteless, and is easily fabricated.
Typical applications include furniture frames & knobs, electrical/electronic components, sight gauges, signs/displays, outdoor lighting lenses, clear fluid movement, food canisters, oil filter housings, pressure vessels, pneumatic conveyor tubes, kidney dialysis connectors, generator insulators and view port on a wide range of industrial equipment and medical devices.
They offer rod in clear, polished, diameters from 1/4" to 6", in lengths from 4' to 8'. Unpolished rod is available upon request. Tubing is available in outside diameters from 1 1/2" to 12", in wall thicknesses from 1/8" to 3/8", in a standard length of 60".
CS Hyde Company's cast acrylic products also are sold exclusively through plastics distributors.
