ADHESIVES

The selection of 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ 2-part structural strength adhesives just got wider. In addition to Scotch-Weld DP-460 and DP-420 off-white adhesives, the toughened epoxy line is expanded with new formulations that increase application possibilities. The adhesives have the highest available shear and peel strength combinations within 3M product families for bonding many plastics. Plus, they offer high resistance to tough environments.

New Scotch-Weld DP-4XL expands the line's worklife options. The new adhesive has five to six hours of worklife to allow for repositioning and fixturing of large parts. It can gain handling strength after 24 hours at room temperature and fully cure at room temperature within several days. This adhesive can also be cured immediately at elevated temperature.

The adhesives are precisely formulated, metered and mixed to conveniently dispense through the reliable and easy-to-handle 3M™ EPX™ applicator systems. The applicator is available in both manual an pneumatic styles and automatically mixes and meters the proper amount of adhesive during application.
