Multi-Tasking
I was checking out at a store the other day when the
cashier also had to answer the business phone. She
did so without slowing down the check-out process,
which was impressive. After hanging up she apologized
and said she was not very good at multi-tasking. I
laughed and told her that she did a good job handling
both things. I also told her that in my first job review I
was told I needed to multi-task; talk on the phone and
add up spreadsheets with a calculator. At the time, I
thought that absurd, but the ability to multi-task is
now a requirement to be competitive and successful in
business.
Something that will decrease your need to multi-task is getting more out of your cutting equipment and cutting tools. Our Machinery & Tooling feature showcases several companies that manufacture products ideally suited for the plastics industry. The technology that is available today can decrease production costs and improve your bottom line.
Next, our Polyolefin Spotlight
features on of the largest volume
thermoplastics fabricated
today. Polyolefins are available
in a wide range of grades, formulations
and shapes. They find great opportunities in
many industries and applications. They are tough, chemical
resistant and offer good electrical properties with a
low coefficient of friction and moisture absorption. They
are also relatively lightweight and easy to fabricate.
