Rubber Sheet
For the first time ever, die cutters, laminators and thermoformers will have commercial access to AlcrynÒ
Melt-Processible RubberÔ
(MPR) in heavy-gauge extruded sheet form. This is the result of a recently announced partnership between Advanced Polymer Alloys (APA) (Wilmington, DE), maker of Alcryn MPR, and Caldwell Industries (Louisville, KY), the newly named official sheet extruder of Alcryn MPR.
The entire grade range of Alcryn MPR is available in gauges from 10 mils to more than 125 mils and up to 34 inches wide.
Alcryn MPR is the world's only melt-processible rubber. It combines the look, feel, and durable performance characteristics of rubber with the ease and low cost of plastic processing. Its chemical resistance and weatherability make it an ideal material for a wide variety of industrial and consumer applications. It is 100 percent recyclable, and can be processed in a variety of colors. Alcryn MPR does not require compounding or pre-drying before processing. Alcryn MPR offers durability, a low coefficient of friction, and resistance to abrasion, chemicals, oils, fuels, and long-term exposure to sunlight and other aspects of weathering. Every grade in the product line can also be made flame-retardant.
