Prismatic Sheet
Sheffield Plastics Inc., a wholly owned business unit of the Bayer Corporation and a leading supplier of HYZOD® polycarbonate sheet made from Bayer's MAKROLON® polycarbonate resin and high performance engineering resins, has announced the addition of HYZOD GP Prismatic with an enhanced P 12 texture, to its line of products for the industrial lighting market. The new addition features a proprietary texture and design enhancing light transmission and diffusion. This increases the number of available patterns to seven in the line.

The new polycarbonate sheet offers UV stability, UL® 94 V2 ratings for gauges .125" in thickness and greater, excellent light transmission (>86% ASTM D-1003) and superb diffusion and hiding power with a refractive index of 1.586 per ASTM D-542.

The sheet provides many benefits for lighting including ease of installation, reduced breakage and lower replacement cost as compared to traditional glass. HYZOD GP Prismatic P12 can be cut from master sheets to size with standard cutting/fabrication equipment, eliminating the need to stock multiple part sizes.

HYZOD GP Prismatic P12 is available in .125", .156" and.187" gauges with sheet sizes of 48 x 96". Custom gauges and sheet sizes are available upon request. The material is shielded on the non-textured side with a protective polyethylene cling masking.
