THERMALLY CONDUCTIVE COMPOUNDS
LNP Engineering Plastics has introduced a line of thermally conductive thermoplastic compounds called Konduit(tm) which are a composite of plastic resins and thermally conductive additives designed to overcome the base resins' natural insulation properties and conduct heat.
According to Mark Kaptur, product marketing manager, "The development of these new compounds opens up significant windows of opportunity in terms of metal replacement and part consolidation in IC thermal management, direct encapsulation, heater systems, automotive, appliances, and fiber optic communications."
