Larger Capacity Extruder On-Line

R. F. Kelly & Company Incorporated is proud to announce that it has fully commercialized a new larger capacity extruder. The new larger capacity extruder affords them the ability to produce UHMWPE profiles more economically.

This new capacity expands the proprietary extrusion technology R. F. Kelly & Company developed in 1992 for the conversion of intractable thermoplastic resins. This technology significantly increases production throughput over traditional ram extrusion. Full plastification of the resin achieved optimizes the resin properties as well as offering significant savings on tooling as compared with conventional ram extrusion.
