SlipGrip Substrate
CS Hyde Company introduced
SlipGrip Fabric. SlipGrip has
two product characteristics, slip
and grip, combined in one
unique product. The material
has a fiberglass substrate coat-
ed with slippery Teflon® (PTFE)
(natural brown) on one face and
silicone rubber (red) on the opposite face.
This combination provides a slippery non-stick surface on one side and
a “grippy” surface on the other. The grip side is non-skid
and stays in place when placed on most surfaces. Both
surfaces exhibit superior release and inert properties. This
material is resistant to temperatures up to 500º F, chemicals and moisture. The fiberglass substrate gives the fabric excellent dimensional stability and tear resistance.
SlipGrip has a variety of uses including release sheets,
belting, gasketing, diaphragms and protective matting. It
also protects surfaces from hot glue, chemicals and
scratching. It is available in thicknesses of 4-6 mils, 7-9
mils and 11-13 mils up to 38” wide.
